Piano Lessons

I decided to take up piano lessons again. I have realized that I have gotten into a lot of bad habits that I want to fix, and I just really want to learn to play beautifully. Oh! and another reason why I really wanted to start back up again was because with Brad's major we have to go out of the country for at least 3 months and I want to be able to play the piano in church if they need me too. When I was in the Dominican Republic they asked if I would play the piano because no one else could play (every Sunday they would sing to the hymns that were played by a CD player...it would have been such a treat for them to hear someone play the hymns in person) I really didn't feel confident enough in my abilities to play in front of everyone. After that day I promised that if that opportunity ever came up again I would play.

Today was day 1 of piano lessons. My teacher is AMAZING!!! She was going over some techniques with me that none of my other piano teachers taught me. I love the way she teaches. She makes complete sense and explains things so thoroughly. I'm so excited to practice and become better.
